Luminescent is the name of a store I very recently opened at Zazzle and that I am launching today. You will find there T-shirts, posters, mousepads, greetings, keychains and a lot more.
Why Zazzle?
Here’s where I’m coming from; last year I created an Etsy shop only to realize that printing and sending my art as large posters (nevermind t-shirts and other interesting merchandise!) was quite expensive. I looked for cheaper options at known shipping companies but couldn’t find any, so I decided not to renew my listings, hence my shop disappeared. For a while just put the idea of a shop aside, waiting for a solution to arise. I asked a few professionals in the industry but got no answer.
It took a few more months before I actually sat down and seriously invested time into weighting my options. Finally, I concluded the most logical solution for me was to use an online retailer that would print and ship my product and give me a profit for each sale. Between Spreadshirt, CafePress and Zazzle, the competition was rough but the later seemed like the best option based on online reviews, profit percentages and customization options. Zazzle is the self-publishing platform used by companies such as Disney, Harry Potter, National Geographic, Marvel and DC Comics. If it’s good enough for Batman and Mickey Mouse, it’s be good enough for me, right? ;)
The launch of Luminescent
So I opened a shop called Luminescent which you can see here. Luminescent isn’t only about selling merchandise; it’s about positive and inspiring designs and illustrations. As the name hints, the purpose of this store is to carry a message of peace, light and love. Getting all teary already? Wait until you see the actual shop content! My goal is to submit brand new designs biweekly so make sure to go back every now and then (especially when you are looking for a nice gift for a special someone) in order to discover new products.
