Firefox is one of the most popular browsers among web designers, usually competing against Chrome for first place. Since at Veodesign we’re big fans of the fox, we compiled a list of what we think are the 5 best add-ons to have if you are a web designer.
Firebug
Firebug is THE tool to have if you are a web designer or developer. It lets you edit, debug, monitor CSS, HTML and JavaScript live in any page. If you want to find out what style a headline is using, turn on Firebug, select the headline and voila, this add-on will show you all the information you need.
FoxGuide
FoxGuide is great for taking measurements in a page live from your browser: it displays horizontal and vertical guides exactly the way Photoshop does. This tool will help you make proper grids, a structured design or make sure you aligned everything well without ever opening Photoshop, Fireworks or Illustrator.
ColorZilla
ColorZilla is an Eyedropper that you can use on any page. It will give you the RGB, HSL and Hexadecimal color codes. You can also use it to create a color palette. Practical if you want to know an exact color without having to take a screenshot and using the eyedropper tool in Photoshop.
ScreenGrab
No more piecing together several screenshots to obtain a full preview of your newly coded website; ScreenGrab will capture what you can see in your window, the entire page, just a selection or a particular frame. It will capture Java or Flash embedded in a page too. It’s a great add-on that will save you some time.
Wisestamp
Wisestamp is a professional tool that will please anyone who wants an original signature. You can create multiple signatures with your logo, information, links and social apps. It’s very easy to use and compatible with most of the important email services: Gmail, Google Apps, Hotmail, Yahoo, Thunderbird, etc.
