Back in February I made a list of 10 nice and free script typefaces which gained a lot of popularity. Since there are so many beautiful fonts available on the internet, here’s a second selection of awesome cursive typefaces:
Parisienne
Parisienne is a casual script typeface that was inspired by advertisement in the 1960s. Created by Brian J. Bonislawsky, it’s available in one style; normal.
Petit Formal Script
From Impallari Type, the creators of the Lobster, Cabin, Quattrocento, Kaushan and Dancing Script fonts, Petit Formal Script is a delicate formal script tailored for web use; unlike most other formal typefaces, this one will not become illegible in smaller sizes. It’s available in one style.
Kaushan Script
Kaushan Script was developed by Impallari Type and has the appearance of words written quickly with an inked brush. It’s unrefined, dynamic and it looks good in smaller (16px) sizes as well. It’s available in one style.
Lobster
The Lobster Font was created by Impallari Type and it features beautiful ligatures, unlike so many other cheap fonts out there. Elegant and bold, it is available in one style and will look great on printed as well as web projects.
Tangerine
Tangerine is a delicate calligraphy font inspired by chancery hands from the 16th and 17th centuries. Tangerine was created by Toshi Omagari. It will look good when used for short texts and headers. It’s available in 2 styles; normal and bold.
Niconne
Based on Madonna, a font from 1925, Niconne has been redesigned as a new version of that old typeface by Vernon Adams. Niconne looks good in headings and is available in one style.
Mission Script
Mission Script is a condensed, casual and sweet typeface developed by James T. Edmondson from the Lost Type Co-op. It is available in one style.
Damion
Damion is a casual script font by Vernon Adams. Inspired by mid C20 typefaces such as the ones drawn by Kaufmann in 1936, Damion is available in one style.
Sofia
Sofia is an upright script font which was designed by Paula Nazal and Daniel Hernández from LatinoType. It has unconventional ligatures, making is a friendly and cute typeface. It’s available in one style.
Androgyne
Androgyne is a bold script typeface created by Dimitri Castrique. It is available in one style.
