Core77 is since 1995 a source of inspiration and information for industrial designers. The website, also available as an app, features articles, discussion forums, event calendars as well as a database of design companies, schools, services, and more.
Art: Dave Palumbo
Dave Palumbo is a remarkable traditional artist located in Philadelphia. He works with oils to create dynamic scenes featuring characters in detailed settings. You might even recognize some of his artworks from book and comic covers as well as posters and card games.
Design & Craft: Anabel Burin aka VuelaVuela
Anabel Burin is a Montreal-based designer and crafter who creates with textile beautiful and delicate jewellery items. Her brooches, necklaces and earrings have a vintage, old-print look to them that show her love for detail.
Freebie: Texturevault’s Free Textures
Texturevault is a stock seller but they also have a gallery of exclusive free textures. Those are high-quality and beautiful textures unlike what you find on most websites. It’s really worth a look… and a few downloads!
Software & App: Google Drive – Free
Google Drive landed 2 weeks ago with its new free software/app. Heavily based on Dropbox, Google Drive will sync your files wherever you are: at home, at the office or on the go. Currently it is available for PC, Mac and Android devices but there is an iOS version coming soon for Apple users too. Google gives you 5GB Free to sync when you sign up. Also good to note is that it will sync with your Google Docs if you allow it to.
