Wacom released yesterday on June 19 a new product called the Bamboo Splash. It looks exactly like the Connect from the already existing Bamboo product line. So what’s new?

Physically, nothing’s new: it’s the exact same tablet as the Connect, sold for $79 US too (you can also click here to see if Amazon has a sweet deal – it usually does). We’re talking about 1024 pressure levels and a small active area of 5.8′ x 3.6′. Same tablet, same price-tag, but there is new software in the box; the Wacom Bamboo Splash comes with the software ArtRage 3 Studio (value of $29 US), ideal for digital painters looking for simple tools.

If you are hesitating between the Connect and the Splash, you might as well go for the Splash since you will get an extra software licence for the same price.
